Grief Changes You.
What Happens Now?
You might not recognise yourself anymore.
Your mind feels different.
Your body feels different.
Life feels different.
You want to feel better, but you can't go back to who you were before.
Hello, I'm Lucy, founder of The Grief Studio.
I offer individual counselling, group counselling and whole body support for grief, loss and life changes, to help you make sense of what you're feeling and find purpose again.
Different Kinds of Support, for Different Kinds of Days.
"Is grief counselling only for bereavement?"
No. At The Grief Studio, I recognise that grief can exist wherever there has been loss.
If it feels like a loss to you, it matters.
Loss can come through death, divorce, redundancy, health, identity or life changing unexpectedly.
Start where you are. Choose what you need. Change it when you need to.
Grief changes shape constantly.
Some days you need people around you.
Some days you need space to just let go.
Some days you need an anchor when the world feels hopeless.
For all days, The Grief Studio offers counselling, community & connection.
Why Choose The Grief Studio
SUPPORT BORN THROUGH LIVED EXPERIENCE
I created The Grief Studio to honour my mum’s life and to offer others what I wish I had at the time: someone who understands that grief changes who we are. Fundamentally.
It impacts us emotionally and physically, and the path towards stability requires a flexible and personalised approach that moves with us along the way.
The Grief Studio is more than a practice to me. It’s a commitment. To see the truth of your grief, to allow all its expressions, and to walk alongside you in your most tender season of life. It is also a place where all forms of grief are held; divorce, menopause, retirement, pet loss, gender identity grief, and all the life changes that include a sense of loss, meaning and purpose.
Grief is felt in the whole body. From catching more colds and changes to appetite, to unexplained pain and digestive issues, I know first hand how confusing and scary this can feel. That's why at The Grief Studio, I help people ease both the physical and emotional strain of grief, reduce its impact on health and daily life, and, with time, find meaning and strength as you move forward.

“I feel like I am among people who speak the same language, a secret language that the rest of the world may not understand.
With the help of Lucy and the group, I’ve realised that the things I feel and think are actually shared, and that’s been incredibly healing.”
"Joining the grief counselling group has been a real game changer for me.
It took a lot to finally decide to come, but I’m so glad I did. Being able to share my thoughts and feelings with others who understand has been incredibly helpful.
I’m starting to understand more about where I am in my grief and where I want to go, and I’m picking up tools to help me along the way.”
Deciding to message Lucy has been one of the best decisions I ever made.
She really can see the world from her clients eyes and I feel completely validated.
I feel a huge improvement in my boundaries, self-worth and understanding of my grief already.

Not Sure What to Expect?
When you’re grieving, reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, and you may have lots of questions about whether counselling is right for you, what happens in a session, or what kind of support you might need.
I’ve answered some of the questions you may be thinking about, so you can take your time, understand what to expect, and feel a little more comfortable about taking that first step.
